The use of laser sintering polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) materials is expected to increase exponentially over the next decade, driven by accelerating innovations in the automotive, electrical, and electronics industries. This trend is especially true for the automotive industry, where the need for lighter, more sustainable, lower maintenance materials rules future designs as manufacturers seek to minimize issues surrounding the corrosion of metals and their associated high costs. Most recently, DSM has produced Arnite® T AM1210 (P), the first-ever PBT powder commercially available for series production of industrial and automotive electronics, which will be available with Nexa3D’s Quantum Laser Sintering QLS™ 350 system starting in 2021.
Join us for a virtual forum for an engaging discussion where we will discuss:
• What are the new possibilities for additive manufacturing with PBT?
• What advantages does PBT offer to engineers and designers?
• What are PBT’s qualities that make it attractive within the automotive, electrical and electronics industries?
The discussion will be followed by a live Q&A where the panelists will answer questions.
