VENTURA, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Nexa3D, the maker of ultrafast stereolithography production 3D printers, announced today that its board of directors appointed company Co-founder and Chairman Avi Reichental as the company’s permanent Chief Executive Officer and promoted its Chief Product Officer Izhar Medalsy to the position of Chief Operating Officer. Reichental will also continue to serve as the company’s Executive Chairman.

Avi served as 3D Systems’ (NYSE:DDD) President and Chief Executive Officer for 12 years, ending October 2015. Under Reichental’s leadership, 3D Systems emerged as a formidable global 3D printing leader. During his tenure, the company was ranked as the 13th most Innovative Global Growth Company by Forbes in 2014, and named the 5th Fastest Growing U.S. Company and 2nd Fastest Growing Tech Company by Fortune in 2013. Reichental also served on the board of Harman (NYSE:HAR) until its acquisition by Samsung.

Izhar Medalsy is an experienced operations, technology and product development executive with extensive optical and polymer science expertise. Medalsy joined Nexa3D in 2017 as its Chief Product Officer. Over the past two years, under his capable leadership, the company developed its flagship product, the NXE400, which it is now commercializing. Medalsy formerly served as director of business development and product management at Wyatt Technology, a world leader in light scattering technology. Medalsy has held marketing and scientific roles at Bruker, and was responsible for the development and marketing of Bruker’s latest Bio Atomic Force Microscope.
